Chronic is definitely not a movie for everyone and some people maybe too off put by the down-beat story and overly long scenes, but for audience members eager to be left with questions, thoughts, and debates after a film along with a tour-de-force performance by Tim Roth will be strongly rewarded.
David is an in-home nurse who works with terminally ill patients, developing strong, and even intimate, relationships with each person he cares for. But outside of his work, David is awkward and reserved—effects of his chronic depression—and needs his patients as much as they need him.
