The Lost World of Sinbad (Japanese: 大盗賊, Hepburn: Daitōzoku, lit. ' The Great Thief ') is a 1963 Japanese drama action film directed by Senkichi Taniguchi, with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya. The film stars Toshiro Mifune and Mie Hama.
A Japanese Tokusatsu fantasy epic, produced by Toho and originally titled The Great Thief and Samurai Pirate that was exported to America by American International Pictures as a "Sinbad" film.

Toshirô Mifune plays a pirate who helps a princess and a wizard against an evil premier in a strange land. The film was released in the US as The Lost World of Sinbad, but it is not a sequel to the Sinbad stories.

Luckily, I found a DVD on the Australian-based label Eastern Eye so here goes with a review.
