The Hunt (in Spanish La Caza) is a 1966 Spanish film directed by Carlos Saura. The film is a psychological thriller about three veterans of the Spanish Civil War who meet to go rabbit hunting. It was Saura's first international success, winning the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 16th Berlin International Film Festival.

It's a metaphorical film where a rabbit hunt in the desert represents the lack on inner peace, rivalries and suspicions, senseless violence and fascist tendencies of the post-Civil War Franco years. It's grim and a hard but effective watch due to brutal violence against animals.
