Return of the hero. France, 1809. Captain Neuville, a soldier of Napoleon I, is about to marry the young Pauline. But as soon as he proposes, the officer has to goto the front, leaving his future bride heartbroken. Every day, Pauline is desperately waiting to receive a letter from her beloved.
