The Woodsman and the Rain (キツツキと雨, Kitsutsuki to Ame) is a 2011 Japanese comedy film co-written and directed by Shuichi Okita, about a lumberjack involved in shooting of a zombie movie.
Rookie movie director Koichi ( Shun Oguri) and his crew travels to the mountain village of Yamamura to film his next movie. The villagers are eventually enlisted to help film the movie and, in particular, 60-year-old lumberjack Katsuhiko ( Koji Yakusho) helps against his will.

Though a bit too long for its own good, the characters and their dialogues will certainly make this into a wonderfully odd viewing experience about taking over a role in your life.
