The Division of Pathology offers a comprehensive range of laboratory tests for diagnosis, management and prevention of a wide variety of diseases. The professional staff are experienced in advising on the interpretation of test results pertaining to conditions such as metabolic disorders, cancers and infectious diseases.
Our pathology e-learning resource, Pathweb is used by medical students in Singapore and internationally. The department received the Undergraduate Teaching Excellence award for 2014-2015 and our educators have repeatedly won Faculty Teaching Excellence Awards.

The Pathology Academic Clinical Programme (ACP) was part of the third wave of ACPs that was rolled out in January 2013. Pathology ACP has its roots in the Pathological Department of the early 20th century when the Municipal Commissioners of Singapore set up a laboratory service in 1903.
This section operates 24-hours providing Biochemistry investigations of serum, blood, urine and fluid specimens. It also provides a wide range of specialized test such as serum protein electrophoresis, therapeutic drug monitoring, trace metal analysis, urine catecholamines and urine metanephrines analysis.
