Sep 15, 2005 · In "Just Like Heaven," a man falls in love with a woman only he can see. She's not a ghost, because she's not dead, but a spirit. Why is she visible only to him? Perhaps because he has moved into her apartment. In a movie like this there is no logical reason for such matters. They simply are, and you accept them.
While in the coma, her apartment becomes available for sublet. A landscaper, David, who has lost his wife and basically drinks himself to sleep, moves into Elizabeth's apartment. At first David believes she is a hallucination, but as time goes on they realize the truth. Only David can see and hear Elizabeth.
