Columbo: Death Hits the Jackpot. Down-on-his-luck photographer Freddy Brower (Gary Kroeger) wins a $30 million lottery. But he wants to keep the money a secret from his wife Nancy (Jamie Rose), who is divorcing him, so that she cannot make a claim for the money.
Just before Rip Torn became a TV sitcom superstar in the hit Larry Sanders, he plays a murderous and greedy uncle in Death Hits the Jackpot. SNL alum Gary Kroeger plays the nephew and victim. I learned that Gary, a few years ago, ran for Congress.
