The Ship of Condemned Women (Italian: La nave delle donne maledette) is a 1953 Italian historical adventure-melodrama film written and directed by Raffaello Matarazzo and starring Kerima, May Britt and Ettore Manni.
A sailing ship heads for the Portuguese colonies carrying a group of 100 women sentenced to deportation for theft, murder, and prostitution. Some of these hardened criminals bully Consuelo, an innocent young woman who has been falsely convicted of killing her illegitimate child.

Raffaello Matarazzo's colorful SHIP OF CONDEMNED WOMEN is an 18th century- set "penny dreadful" cross between a WIP (women-in-prison) flick and a swashbuckler with beautiful May Britt as an innocent girl convicted of murder and sentenced to a penal colony.
Jan 21, 2023 · One very quick trial later, it turns out to be ten years in a penal colony for Consuelo, and she’s shipped off, part of a large consignment of female convicts. Awkwardly, she’s dispatched on the same ship on which Isabella and her new husband are travelling.
