Jun 25, 2021 · The mystery moves along quickly in this corny, even for 1943 I imagine, mystery-comedy. All the mystery plot points you could wish for are here. The cast plays it for all its worth.
A radio detective sets out to solve an old murder case, with the help of her sound man and another radio detective. They manage to talk to the people involved in the case, but shortly afterwards the main suspects turn up dead. George Sherman. Director.
The next evening, Jan and Smitty are followed by Mike when they go to Lenore's lodge to record sound effects for the broadcast. At the lodge, a veiled woman threatens them with a gun and orders them to stop their snooping, but she is shot and killed by an unseen assailant.
