May 7, 2019 · Despite the somewhat misleading title, I wouldn’t really call Disaster on the Coastliner a true “disaster” movie, even though certainly that’s the vibe you get from the set-up: a handful of, ahem, “name” stars, the threat of a deadly, catastrophic “event,” and large-scale action set pieces.
A 1979 action thriller about a deranged engineer who tries to destroy two passenger trains and a con-man who tries to stop him. The film stars Lloyd Bridges, Raymond Burr, Pat Hingle and Eric Poppick.
