Julia Davis shines as she always does, and seems to inhabit the unknowable Mrs Cradock effortlessly.
In the 70s, British TV cookery was dominated by one person: Fanny Cradock. This dramatisation of Cradock's career is based on interviews with her friends and family, and reveals the private vulnerability behind her tart public persona.
