Jun 1, 2018 · A movie that’s about reckless freedom and counter-culture communities needs to be less by-the-numbers than “Action Point.” There was a time when a movie from the creators of “Jackass” about an independent amusement park with rides on which ticket buyers can actually get really hurt would have been an obvious slam-dunk.
D.C. (Johnny Knoxville) is the crackpot owner of Action Point, a low-rent, out-of-control amusement park with dangerous rides. Just as D.C.'s estranged teenage daughter Boogie (Eleanor Worthington Cox) comes to visit, a corporate mega-park opens nearby and jeopardizes the future of Action Point.
