Just before her final exams 17 year-old Suzie (Marlene Burow) is expelled from school and is forced to work in a factory. When a chance photo of her ends up on the cover of SIBYLLE, the ‘Vogue’ of the East, it thrusts her into the glamourous fashion world and gives her an opportunity to flee from socialist factory life.

Synopsis. It’s 1989 in East Berlin: Suzie is kicked out of school shortly before she graduates from high school and has to defend herself as a worker in the cable factory. However, a randomly taken photo leads them to the fashion world of the GDR.
