Our collective purpose is to preserve and protect Paradox Lake and its surroundings, to enhance the water quality, fishery, boating safety, and aesthetic values of Paradox Lake, as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations.
Paradox Lake Campground is a comparatively small campground located on the shore of Dark Bay, which is on Paradox Lake. The lake itself is approximately 4-3/4 miles long. Recreation: Boating and fishing are popular, but the hiking here is particularly good.
Paradox Lake has a natural population of lake trout. DEC stocks landlocked salmon and rainbow trout annually. The west basin has a maximum depth of 52 feet and is suitable to salmonids in the summer months.
