Pete Candoli (born Walter Joseph Candoli; June 28, 1923 – January 11, 2008) was an American jazz trumpeter. He played with the big bands of Woody Herman and Stan Kenton and worked in the studios of the recording and television industries.

Pete Candoli was born on 28 June 1923 in Mishawaka, Indiana, USA. He was an actor and composer, known for Touch of Evil (1958), Porgy and Bess (1959) and Faces (1968). He was married to Sheryl Deauville, Edie Adams, Betty Hutton, Vicky Lane and Nona Catherine Slamp.
Pete Candoli began playing lead and jazz for Sonny Dunham's Orchestra in 1941, followed by a long string of other name bands, including Woody Herman's famed “First Herd." He settled into the studio scene in the 1950s after tenures with Herman, Tex Beneke, Jerry Gray and Stan Kenton, among others.
