Stephen Fain Earle ( / ɜːrl /; born January 17, 1955) is an American country, rock and folk singer-songwriter. He began his career as a songwriter in Nashville and released his first EP in 1982. Earle's breakthrough album was the 1986 debut album Guitar Town; the eponymous lead single peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot Country chart.
Steve Earle has announced his forthcoming live album, Alone Again (Live), due for release on July 12, 2024. To celebrate the exciting news, Earle has also unveiled the first track from the live collection, “I Ain’t Ever Satisfied,” out now.

American musician Steve Earle has released twenty-one studio albums, including collaborations with the Del McCoury Band and Shawn Colvin. Earle's work reflects a wide range of styles, including country, bluegrass, roots rock, and folk.
Earle is the host of the weekly show Hard Core Troubadour on Sirius Radio’s Outlaw Country channel. In 2020, Earle was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. And in 2023, Steve was honored by the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music.
