Tom Gomes. Tom Gomes was the drummer for Killswitch Engage from their formation until 2003. He played on the band’s first two albums, Killswitch Engage and Alive or Just Breathing. His drumming laid the groundwork for what would become their signature sound.
Before the completion of the record, the band brought in Tom Gomes to play drums as Dutkiewicz moved to the empty guitar position. Though Dutkiewicz recorded most of the drums himself, Gomes provided additional percussion on the album, before he was an official member of the band.
