Chris Sutherland is a video game programmer. He initially joined Rare in 1989 and worked on a number of games, most notably on the Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie games as the main programmer. He left the company in 2014 and became one of the founding members of Playtonic Games.
Sutherland is known to have voiced many characters at Rare, like Banjo and Kazooie, Daniel Carrington, and the announcer of Killer Instinct.
At one point, Kevin Bayliss was unofficially credited to be former voice actor of Diddy Kong. The misunderstanding gets cleared up when he posted in a Twitter comment that he did not voice as Diddy. Since then, sites officially credited Chris Sutherland as the one who voiced as Diddy Kong before Katsumi Suzuki took over the role.
