John Henry Rutherford (/ ˈ r ʌ ð ər f ər d /; born September 2, 1952) is an American politician and former police officer serving as the U.S. representative from Florida's 5th congressional district since 2017.
John Rutherford (FL-05) is serving his fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He sits on the House Ethics Committee and the House Appropriations Committee where he serves on three subcommittees: Homeland Security, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Transportation and Housing and Urban Development.
