Emilio Jacinto y Dizon ( Spanish: [eˈmi.ljo xaˈsinto]; December 15, 1875 – April 16, 1899) was a Filipino general during the Philippine Revolution.
Emilio Jacinto was a young and eloquent intellectual who joined the Katipunan, a secret society fighting for Philippine independence from Spain. He wrote the Kartilya ng Katipunan, the official handbook of the movement, and became a general in the guerrilla army, but was killed by malaria at 23.
