Susanna Hall (née Shakespeare; baptised 26 May 1583 – 11 July 1649) was the oldest child of William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway and the older sister of twins Judith and Hamnet Shakespeare. Susanna married John Hall, a local physician, in 1607. They had one daughter, Elizabeth, in 1608.
Susanna Hall (nee Shakespeare) was the elder of Shakespeare’s two daughters. She was baptised on 26th May 1583 at Holy Trinity church in Stratford upon Avon and died on 11th July 1649.

A fifth tag in the center, was signed by Susanna Hall to which her signet seal was attached, bearing the Hall family arms (three talbots’ heads erased) quartered with those of the Shakespeare family.
Susanna Shakespeare and John Hall were married on June 5, 1607, according to the Holy Trinity Church parish register. Next to the entry, an “X” added by a later hand highlights its significance. Susanna, William and Anne Shakespeare’s daughter, was 24.

Daughter of William; baptized 26 May 1583. Her name occurs in a recusant list of 1606 for failing to receive communion on Easter Sunday, which implies that she was suspected of having Catholic sympathies. She married John Hall on 5 June 1607.
