Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam SC (Tamil: காசிவிஸ்வநாதன் சண்முகம், romanized: Kācivisvanātaṉ Caṇmukam; born 26 March 1959), better known as K. Shanmugam, is a Singaporean politician and lawyer who has been serving as Minister for Law since 2008 and Minister for Home Affairs since 2015.
Mr K Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law. Mr K Shanmugam was educated at Raffles Institution from 1972 to 1977. He then read law at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he graduated at the top of his class with First Class Honours, in 1984.
K Shanmugam is a People's Action Party (PAP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nee Soon GRC. He is also the Chairperson of Chong Pang Branch and the Minister for Home Affairs and Law.
