Desmond Choo Pey Ching (Chinese: 朱倍慶; pinyin: Zhū Bèiqìng; Jyutping: Zyu1 Pui5 Hing3; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Chu Pōe-khèng; born 1978) is a Singaporean politician and former police officer who has been serving as Mayor of North East District since 2017 and Assistant Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress since 2015.
Desmond Choo is a People's Action Party (PAP) representative for Tampines GRC. He is the branch chairperson for Tampines Changkat and supports young families to be the parents they want to be.
Desmond Choo is a Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC, the Mayor of North East District and the Assistant Secretary-General of NTUC. He has a background in economics, police, labour and finance, and is involved in various social and community development initiatives.
