Sacred Heart Church is a parish church of the Diocese of Columbus in the Italian Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The parish was founded in 1875, making it the third-oldest parish in the diocese. [1] The current Tudor Gothic church was completed in 1923.
In 2014, the archdiocese assigned Fernandes to serve as parochial administrator of Sacred Heart Parish in Cincinnati. While there, he celebrated the Tridentine Mass along with masses in Italian and English.

Sacred Heart. The parish school opened in September 1917 with 152 students and became the second Catholic grade school in Marshfield. In 1996, with the development of the middle school, Sacred Heart went from K-8 to K-6. At the end of the 2000-2001 school year, because of declining enrollment, Sacred Heart school closed its doors.
Each group containing one high school and its feeder schools forms a boundary area of the Diocese. The boundary system, while unique among Catholic diocese in the United States, remains one of the greatest attributes of the Diocese of Columbus.
