The Academic year is divided into three terms: 1st Term – June - September. 2nd Term – October - December. 3rd Term – January - May. Admission to the first year of Higher Secondary Course is open to candidates who have passed Std. X English Medium public Examination.
Established in 1955, Crescent Girls’ School (CGS) started as Alexandra Estate Secondary School, a co-educational school at Prince Charles Crescent. In 1956, the boys were transferred to Pasir Panjang Secondary School, and Alexandra Estate Secondary School became known as CGS, a full-fledged all-girls school.
