Thomas Stuart Ferguson (May 21, 1915 – March 16, 1983) was an American lawyer, a Mormon and an amateur archaeologist who dedicated his life to finding archeological evidence of the Book of Mormon in Mesoamerica. He was instrumental in the foundation of the New World Archaeological Foundation.

BIOGRAPHY. Thomas S. Ferguson. Thomas Shelburne Ferguson was born in Oakland, California, on Decem-ber 14, 1929. He grew up in Alameda near San Francisco, where he received his high school education. In 1947 he entered University of California at Berkeley to study Mathe-matics.
