Children's Island, formerly known as "Cat Island" is an island off Marblehead, Massachusetts, and is part of the City of Salem, Massachusetts. The YMCA of the North Shore has owned and operated a children's day camp on it since 1955.
Children's Island (Swedish: Barnens ö) is a Swedish drama film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 25 December 1980, co-written and directed by Kay Pollak, starring Thomas Fryk and Ingvar Hirdwall.
Drama, 43'35'', 2017. After what they call "The Disaster", Lauryn (8 years old) and Camille (12) find themselves alone on the island where they had come to take refuge with their mother, now missing.

10 year old Renee lives in a Stockholm suburb alone with his mother. She has only limited time and heart for her boy. Her lover Stig is a scary and frustrated loser. When Renee's mother leaves home for a summer job in another town, Renee is "deported" to a summer camp.
Reine is supposed to go to a summer camp called Children’s Island, but decides to remain in Stockholm over the summer while his mother is working at a hospital. Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.
