Dec 23, 2019 · Maxime du Camp wanted to see everything on his travels, and didn’t want to waste any time sketching. The French nineteenth century writer with chronic wanderlust didn’t particularly enjoy drawing the temples and ancient ruins he visited, but did want to record archways and columns for memory’s sake.
