May 5, 2017 · I am not able to play Gta Vice City on my windows 10 home pc because of directx. I have heard that Windows 10 come with directx 12. Whenever I open the game it shows an dialog box with a message "Grand Theft Auto needs atleast DirectX 8.1" and I am not Getting DirectX 12 update for my pc.

Jun 17, 2021 · You haven't given much information, but if your copy of the game is the disc based version of the original GTA-VC (not the 'Stories') the problem is likely Windows blocking the games DRM - SecuROM . or the SecuROM version the game uses is not compatible with 64bit Windows.
