Over a period of sixty years Lakshminarayana Sattiraju, popularly known as Bapu, created his own unique style of art and filmmaking that inspired many. His artwork extended from illustrations to cartoons, caricatures, graphics, logos, portraits an paintings.
During India's nationalist movement and in several decades immediately after, he was also commonly called Bapu (Gujarati endearment for "father", roughly "papa", [3] "daddy" [4]).
