I got a mohair hood and hood cover from John Skinners a few years ago (pre-pandemic) They are pricey but well worth the cost, I believe.
May 28, 2024 · The hood I got from Don Hoods has a strip of Furflex sown on a flap of hood material. Once the hood is on and tensioned the Furflex is pushed into the gap between the hood and screenframe. Before I realised what it was for the wind used to blow the water up the screen and through the gap. Ralph.

Aug 11, 2024 · TR Register's TR Chat. General TR Technical. TR4a Hood Shrinkage. Since fitting the vinyl hood a number of years ago it appears to have shrunk although it was tight from the beginning. It is very difficult to get the hood catches to engage and lock, very difficult in the cold weather, In the hot weather it is easier.
Jan 6, 2024 · The 4A hood and hood frame is unique from other TRs. I had the hood from a 6 on mine and swapped back to the 4A frame 100 Euro, hood new from Don Hood. But yes, you can make both suitable, if a 6 owner wants a 4A hood? Ciao, Marco Edited January 7 by Z320

Jun 12, 2012 · Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) If you look at this pic, 3 female poppers are fitted to the hood below the side window and pop onto male ones just above the top of the rear wing. The 7 across the back are pop riveted to a bar that bolts to the back panel,and these are the male poppers you fit the hood cover to!.
