Find your Programmable Search Engine search ID. From the list of search engines, select the search engine for which you want to find the search engine ID. The Search engine ID is in the Basic section or in the jumped out warning dialog if the search engine is terminated.
Once you've created your Programmable Search Engine, you can add the Programmable Search Element code to your site. To do this, you'll need to copy some code and paste it into your site's HTML where you want your search engine to appear. From the list of search engines, select the search engine you want to implement on your site.
Avoid using "Google" in the name of your search engine. Be sure any references to Google comply with the Google branding guidelines. You can turn off Google branding by customizing your search box from the Look and Feel section of the Programmable Search Engine control panel.

Anytime you want to make changes to an already existing search engine, you can do it through the Control Panel. Access the control panel: From the list of search engines, select the search engine you want to edit. Once logged into the search engine control panel, on the left hand side navigation menu is available to edit the search engine.
Programmable Search Engines configured to search the entire web are limited to a subset of the total Google Web Search corpus. Your custom search engine doesn’t include Google Web Search features such as Oneboxes, real-time results, universal search, social features, or personalized results.
You can configure your search engine to display the number of refinements to show for a search by selecting the option from the drop down menu from "Max top refinements to show for a search". under Refinements section. Apply a refinement: From the list of search engines, select the search engine you want to edit.
