Dec 14, 2006 · many early sports paper were printed on pink paper for 2 main reasons: (I believe the sports paper in coventry is still called The Pink for similar reasons), 1. to easily differentiate it from the normal daily paper and. 2. unbleached tinted pink paper was cheaper, more suitable to keep the cost down for its working class audience
