Aug 27, 2020 · Anyway that's beside the point. If you need an address just use the address of the nearest branch, or any branch really, it doesn't matter. I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left. FYI - I opened the account online less than a year ago. I've had to put the address of my HSBC branch on a form.

They can request one to come in the post, however they may not be able to print off an official statement, but they may be able to do something with your address on and transactions.

Jun 4, 2017 · In the time you've taken to post here you could have got the information on cost direct from HSBC, as I have just done via live chat. Assuming account was closed less than 6 years ago, cost is £1 per statement, up to max £10. As I didn't want to waste any more of the agent's time, I didn't ask about costs for accounts closed longer than 6 ...
Feb 15, 2020 · So I rang them at start of February and was told to ring again in a week if I hadn't heard anything. So rang again and was told that he, (bloke on phone) would send a message to the application department, and a week later, still nothing. Has anyone else had problems opening this account.

Making payments from a non HSBC bank account is very difficult and the website has no information on how to do this at all. The online chat are clueless and trying to get through to them on the phone is impossible, with constant long wait times when phoning at various times ...

I believe its typically 7 - 10 years (minimum 6 years from the end of the financial year from what it relates) After that, they only need to record when the records were destroyed.
