Sim is married to Mok Ying Jang, a doctor who is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the National Healthcare Group Polyclinics. Mok was also a member of the first Singaporean team to climb Mount Everest in 1998.

Jan 30, 2024 · During the ceremony on 23 January, our recipients proudly stood on stage as CEO Dr Mok Ying Jang received the awards from Senior Minister of State for Health, Dr Janil Puthucheary. Congratulations to all our winners and thank you for your outstanding contributions to the sector!
On the new partnership, CEO Dr Mok Ying Jang said, “We look forward to deepening the skills, supporting the expansion of job roles and elevating the standard of care through new innovative solutions to address the sector’s evolving needs.”
During the visit, Mr Yong was given an overview of NHGP’s nursing services by Ms Lim Voon Hooi, Chief Nurse (Designate), NHGP, as well as a tour of the clinic by the polyclinic’s nursing team. The team comprised mountaineering pioneers Dr Robert Goh, Mr Edwin Siew, Ms Lulin Reutens and Dr Mok Ying Jang, who were inspired to create a training programme that imparted the physical and technical skills required of this rigorous sport; and broaden the base of high altitude mountaineers in Singapore.
