Earth Hour 2023 took place on Saturday, March 25 at 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm local time. Ahead of the event, Earth Hour was rebranded as the "Biggest Hour for Earth", which included a bigger focus on community action and less reliance on the 'switch off'.
The WWF Earth Hour Switch Off remains as a powerful symbol of unity and hope in collective action. On 23 March 2023, over 1000 individuals and establishments in Singapore showed their support for a climate-resilient planet by switching off all non-essential lights for an hour.
The Biggest Hour for Earth. Since our beginnings in 2007, Earth Hour has been known for the “lights off” moment, with individuals from around the globe switching off their lights to show symbolic support for the planet and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it.
