There appears to be good reason to believe that both he and Joan Plowright, his wife at the time, had affairs with Peter Finch. She sure wasn't thrilled about Larry and Viv documentary released in 2001 "Interest in the Olivier story does not fade. Only a few weeks ago, there was a biopic on Channel 4 called Larry and Viv: The Oliviers in Love. Had she seen it?

Nov 14, 2021 · Meanwhile Joan Plowright has left the cast of Rhinoceros (which is transferring, unwisely I think, to the Strand Theatre). She is a good actress and seems a nice enough girl, but I do wish Larry wouldn't marry her. However, that's his look-out. He has never been remarkable for organizing his life efficiently.
