  2. Feb 6, 2024 · Lancaster is a great uni. It stays around 10th/11th in the complete uni guide, and the reason its not higher is because their grade bounderies are lower. But their student satisfaction is higher than others. Its also got good research quality. Its not a russell group, but does hold its own in terms of research.

  3. Lancaster University is located approximately 3 miles south of Lancaster City Centre. There are regular buses and a walking/cycle path that will take you directly from campus into the city. The City of Lancaster is around 70 miles from Manchester’s International Airport.

Aug 22, 2023 · if you analyse the 2023 spread of results compared to 2022 then section 1 was almost the same, section 2 was a bit lower this year on average and section 3 was almost the same so the chances are the cut off of 11.8 will be pretty similar unless there is a dramatic increase or decrease in the calibre of students who applied to lancasters vs last year. i got 12.3A so lets just hope that the cut ...

Some colleges only offer certain types of accommodation, for example, Lonsdale and Cartmel are exclusively ensuite. So whichever accommodation you would prefer/is within your budgeting range will limit your choices.

  9. 8. Original post by Luna1602. It's a brilliant university. It's collegiate so you feel part of a community within a community. My sister is in the smallest (and best) college Furness. It's very central on campus and has a wonderful JCR and freshers' reps that look after you all your first year if you need it.

  10. The social life is pretty good. There are student nights every night of the week either in Lancaster or at the Carleton in Morecambe. As it is a campus university, some of the biggest club nights run buses direct from campus to save you needing a taxi. Reply 10. 13 years ago.
