Xbox is not a PC, and while it uses many fo the same technologies, it is a secure platform, and the games will not work. of you wish to purchase PC games, buy a PC.

I then re-ran the installer as described in step 6 on the Epic page linked to above, which in my case is C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServices.msi and the installer ran successfully fixing the issue. Hope this helps someone.

Mar 25, 2020 · 1. Go to the place where you've installed launcher (usually c:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\) 2. Open the 'DirectXRedist' folder. 3. Inside, there will be several .cab files (those are just simple archives) 4. Open those .cab files and extract JUST the .dll files, and put the wherever you want (could be the Desktop)
Jan 23, 2022 · I contacted Epic Games support and after we tried all the usual fixes, they advised to contact Xbox. After this, I made a seperate Epic Games account and tried to link my Xbox to the new account but this also failed. Oddly enough, when I try to link my Twitch and Reddit Account to my Xbox, they tell me to login, but both in the end fail.
Nov 22, 2019 · Trying to reinstall Epic Games Launcher. Previously installed on 2nd HD (E:) which died. Unsurprisingly I can't uninstall it because the drive doesn't exist. I have gone through several other support pages with how to try and get around this. They all point to doing it from the Apps & Features tool basicly. I then tried a bit more brute force.
