  3. Not sure I fully understand this comment so my apologies, but I think the assumption was we are talking about living people here. Of course you will still love people you lost. We rarely have any control over death. What we can control is not being used or being someone's backup plan. It only leads to heartbreak.

  10. Jul 10, 2019 · I have a back-up plan if something happens to my partner, yeah. Move back to my hometown, live with relatives, get a job, move out. I have savings and family and friends I can lean on for childcare in a situation like that. No back-up romantic/sexual partners though. Pretty sure that'd be the furthest thing from my mind.
