Mar 14, 2021 · as far as i am aware he hasnt been ableist, i could be wrong though - ive seen people saying that too but ive never found actual receipts or anything. there's a whole thread on his twitter that someone else has already linked where he addresses all the racist, antisemitic and transphobic comments he made in the past.
May 27, 2022 · cavetown is very private about these things. he didn't want to come out but there was years of speculation. he was happily in the closet and got very annoyed whenever people would speculate that he's trans. but then someone dug up an old tweet with him saying the t slur (a slur for trans people) with the express purpose of forcing his hand. he either had to come out then, or be cancelled.

Aug 30, 2022 · Cavetown said the “bullets in my mouth” referred to aspects of himself he didn’t want to share with people in his life, and “spitting them out” referred to expressing them when away from those people. He also said “the foxes and the hounds” referred to masculinity and femininity, and not fitting into either.

Edit: spelling. he did a devinyl with kevin devine along with the self titled album, but i don’t know the third one. just from those two though, the lyrics aren’t different but it’s the way it sounds that’s different :)

Aug 18, 2022 · I saw some comments on Tiktok that said Cavetown made some antisemite statements but I can’t find any sources. Anyone know anything or is this just another far reaching conclusion by teenieboppers. He said some questionable things ages ago when he was quite literally a kid still.
Oct 21, 2023 · Is Cavetown trans? yes he is. i don’t understand why people get so upset when people ask (as long as it’s respectful ofc) but he’s open about it at all of his concerts, at least in recent years. plus he always asks for a trans flag from the crowd when he sings “this is home”.
