Gary Allen Russell Jr. (born June 5, 1988) is an American professional boxer who held the WBC featherweight title from 2015 to 2022. [4] As an amateur boxer, Russell won a bantamweight bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships. [5] In 2011, he was named Prospect of the Year by The Ring, [6] Sports Illustrated, [7] and ESPN. [8]
