Oct 31, 2021 · Halloween: Resurrection is a bad movie and like what Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers did back in 1995, it ran the franchise into the ground so much that the next installment had to be a reboot (whether that be H20 or the 2007 Rob Zombie remake).
That’s basically what Texas chainsaw (2013) is. The original TCM is a great movie that did a fantastic job being realistic while also entertaining so to make a Direct sequel to it so devoid of logic is absurd. At least movies like Halloween resurrection respect the audience enough to not insult their intelligence.
May 6, 2022 · Resurrection for me could of been a very good standalone Halloween. Laurie should of been left out and I liked the idea of the internet cam team etc going round the house, but Michael was a big let down and busta rhymes was just annoying.
Halloween: Resurrection (2002)-been marathoning the entire Halloween series (just finished the Rob Zombie duology), and after viewing the series up to this point I'm not sure I agree with Resurrection being the worst and I'd place it above Halloween 5 and Zombie's Halloween II.
Nov 19, 2018 · Now, onto Resurrection. ‘Halloween: Resurrection’ was so fucking bad. It spits on the mythology by not having Michael go after John, then switches to hands down the dumbest plot in the series. Where we follow a bunch of boring, basic, and uninteresting college students through the abandoned Myers house.
I really like the Halloween franchise, generally. I love I to IV, I like V, I really like the producer's cut of VI. H20 is a lot of fun despite not being at all scary, I like the 2018 reboot a lot, I enjoy Kills depsite it's flaws. I'm even starting to warm to Rob Zombie's Halloween II (if not his first Halloween). I genuinely hate Resurrection.

Jun 7, 2022 · H20 was so slow and only picked up in the last 30 minutes (that intro with nurse Marion was chilling though I did like that) Busta Rhymes was great he kept me laughing throughout the movie. It was a fun movie and I could definitely feel the Scream influence in Resurrection more than H20. I’d give Resurrection like a 6 or 7 out of 10

I believe just like with H20, studio interference was the culprit, wanting to ape the Scream movies without understanding why those worked.
