Jul 24, 2018 · Recently had someon lie and say they attending Harvard but did not add the extension. I went to a target UG, target MSF and Emba. HES is not Harvard just like Harvard opm is not hbs regardless of alumni status. The standards are signigantly lower and being a celebrity who attends the opm cash cow of Harvard does not make you an hbs alum.

Jul 19, 2011 · The Harvard extension school has programs that do give out degrees, you cannot get a degree with out be accepted into the degree programs. While the screening to get into these degree programs is not near as hard as getting into any of the other 12 schools at Harvard.
Apr 23, 2021 · 3y. I think having Harvard extension (or whatever the online thing is called) can be looked at as a negative. I would certainly judge someone who was naive enough to pay for that online certificate (unless they legitimately just went for the knowledge). Especially true if you at all talk about “going to Harvard”.

May 14, 2012 · Besides a B-school app, is there any advantage to getting a certificate in finance from UC Berkeley Extension. Is it looked down upon like Harvard extension? I only plan to take a couple quant-ish classes to create an alternative transcript of sorts; I doubt the actual certificate has any real merit.
Aug 5, 2013 · Harvard should close its extension school. This is misguiding many people. If he is doing a MS in Computer science at Harvard Extension, how is he not a Harvard Student. Harvard Extension is one of the 13 schools at Harvard University. He graduates from Harvard Extension, he is a graduate of the entire university.
