  6. Dec 11, 2013 · If you used "noble trees", I'd get the idea that the trees were unusually fine or valuable, but I'm not sure that I'd understand that they were very large and old. I'd probably use "ancient" to describe such trees. It would also make sense to use "very large, old trees": Ancient trees must be protected/Very large, old trees must be protected.
