Teşvikiye is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Şişli, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 11,274 (2022). It is one of the four neighbourhoods (together with Maçka, Osmanbey and Pangaltı) within the Nişantaşı quarter.
Teşvikiye, İstanbul'un Şişli İlçesi'ne bağlı bir semt ve mahalle. 1930'da Beşiktaş'ın Beyoğlu ilçesinden ayrılarak ilçe olmasıyla buraya bağlandı. 1954'e kadar Beşiktaş ilçesinin bir mahallesi olan Teşvikiye, o tarihte bir ilçe olarak ayrılan Şişli ilçesine bağlanmıştır.

Jan 20, 2021 · The formerly tree covered parklands of the palace elite were named Teşvikiye, meaning ‘encouragement’ in Ottoman Turkish, spelled Tesvikiye in the English alphabet. Two obelisks adorned in calligraphic script defined the boundaries of this new neighbourhood.
