  2. ‘On 23 July 2019, it was revealed that Harness threw in his lot with Republic of Ireland after giving up on representing England.’ Isn’t that just lovely to read ?! 23/07/2019, 11:25 AM #5

  3. Aug 17, 2024 · Ipswich signing Jack Clarke is likely to limit Harness' Premier League minutes. Although Harness has probably overachieved by making it to the Premier League in the first place. 30/08/2024, 10:25 PM #45

  4. Not sure but his Twitter has him down as Marcus Anthony Myers Harness so I'd imagine that his mother is Myers. He's from Coventry as well. I'm not particularly familiar with the trends there but we have had a few players qualifying for us from Coventry down to grandparents. Shipley, Christie and James Maddison.

  7. May 4, 2024 · Mention of Marcus Harness impressing on pre season and being hopeful of an Irish cap if he can get games for Ipswich at the top level. Article states his mother is from Crosshaven in Cork. The names of Jack Taylor and Liam Delap are mentioned too. As well as Leon Ayinde who has played in pre season but at 19 is one for the future.

  8. I share a bit of your disappointment, but I find it hard to believe he doesn't have a fairly good idea of who our better players are by now. Understandable that he wouldn't know who the wider group is - let's face it, you'd wonder if O'Shea even does (Marcus harness for example). It might just be that he doesn't really want to speak about them.

  9. Feels like either McGrath, Taylor or Sykes would have been a useful addition in midfield, as well as Johnston and Cannon further forward. With only 23 players, any drop offs will need to be replaced, and there will likely be a couple of dropoffs. 29/08/2024, 12:24 PM #59. nigel-harps1954. Capped Player.

Aug 14, 2024 · As noted elsewhere, three Irish top flight debuts in the same game is a rare occurrence, so, after Sammie Szmodics, Jack Taylor, and Marcus Harness' all made their first Premier League appearance for Ipswich at the weekend, I've searched the records to find the other times three(or more) Republic of Ireland players made their top flight debuts in the same game
