This course is designed for those who are planning to register with SCDF as a certified Fire Safety Manager. You will be trained in fire safety requirements and management measures to prepare you for the role of a fire safety manager.
The Fire Safety Management (FSM) scheme was given wide publicity since 1989. Together with the passing of the Fire Safety Act 1993 and the Fire Safety (Fire Safety Manager) Regulations 1994, it has become mandatory for owners of designated buildings to appoint Fire Safety Manager.
The amended FSM regulations gazetted on 13 Apr 2007 aims to make further improvements to the FSM scheme. This course prepares the participants to take on the role of a Fire Safety Manager. Upon completion, each participant will receive the Fire Safety Manager Certificate awarded by SCDF.
The 11 th Senior FSM course is designed to train Fire Safety Managers that will be appointed as Senior Fire Safety Managers in complex premises. Participants will be introduced to topics such as evacuation dynamics, performance based fire safety and fire risk assessment.
