Low Yen Ling (Chinese: 刘燕玲; pinyin: Liú Yànlíng; born 17 August 1974) is a Singaporean politician who has been serving as Mayor of South West District since 2014, Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth and Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry concurrently since 2024.
Ms Low Yen Ling was elected as a Member of Parliament for Chua Chu Kang GRC in the 2011, 2015 and 2020 General Elections. She is presently the Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY).
Yen Ling has been a strong advocate for greater opportunities for Singaporeans. Bringing her private sector experience to bear, she has been involved in shaping Singapore's manpower, economic and trade policies.
May 13, 2024 · Ms Low Yen Ling will be promoted to Senior Minister of State. She will continue in the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. She will also continue as Mayor of South West District.
Ms Low Yen Ling was elected Member of Parliament for Chua Chu Kang GRC in the 2011 General Election and re-elected in the 2015 General Election. She is the Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).
